Nothing says freedom like a two-wheeled adventure, and few bikes are better equipped for adventure than the Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX FE. With mudguards and carrier included, the lightweight C:62® carbon frame, premium components and new lighter Bosch SX drive with 400Wh battery are all you need for exploring.

There's more to making a really practical frame than bolting on mudguards and a carrier, although we've done that too. The Nuroad Hybrid C:62 FE's elegantly sculpted C:62® frame is full of neat touches, like the ability to run up to 50mm tyres even with the included mudguards. The full carbon fork has carrier mounts, we added a direct mount lightweight chain guide, there's a flat mount kickstand interface, and the rear end is equipped with Boost axle and UDH gear hanger.

As for the Bosch drive system, it's PowerMore-ready for a +250Wh battery booster pack and the control unit is neatly incorporated inside the top tube, with a separate Mini Remote on the handlebar. We sweated the detail, so all you need to do is ride.

    Not all carbon is created equal. With our C:62® carbon we increased the high modulus fibre content, then we reinforced the resulting material with nanoparticles incorporated into the bonding resin. Which is all just a fancy way of saying it's extremely strong, light and durable.
  • Advanced Internal Cable Routing
    Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.
  • Fixed Integrated Battery
    Bosch SX technology incorporates a new, lighter and more configurable battery setup. To make the most of the weight saving, we've integrated the new battery fully into the down tube. This means we can position it optimally for the best weight distribution and handling, as well as saving more weight by building a down tube that's precisely the right size to fit, and without the need for an access hatch. And the Power More option means you can add an additional 250Wh battery quickly and simply, for extra range. It's the best of both worlds.

That's the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency.   • Advanced Twin Mold
    With our Advanced Twin Mold process we use two precisely manufactured forms for our C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
